Virtual assistants
The assistant is identified remotely and works solely through digital platforms.
All of our Virtual Assistants work in the United States and conform to the same standards as our in-person assistants. While part-time assistants have alternate structures, full-time assistants should perform comparably to how they would in a shared physical office. They are expected to be at their desk and available at all times. Lambent can provide guidelines for how to optimize remote communication and workflow. Virtual Assistants can be a good choice for individuals who don’t have an office with room for two people, or who work better alone with no distractions.
By using us to find your Virtual Assistant you have a wide geographical range for your search and will get an extremely high quality and trustworthy employee. This is especially important because you are not able to supervise them directly.

People who use assistants typically have big lives – they are doing a considerable amount of work, whether it is launching a business, philanthropic, managing multiple households, or have extremely demanding jobs with many moving pieces. Delegating tasks to an assistant streamlines their lives and enhances their capacity to take on big projects.

We are typically called in to find the Executive Assistant for the CEO in corporate settings, because this is one of the hardest jobs to fill. It relies to a large degree on the idiosyncratic needs of the executive, and his or her personality. They have to trust and want to communicate with their assistant; it is a hand-in-glove relationship that has a significant impact on the executive’s overall performance. When it’s working, no one notices the assistant. When it isn’t it’s a light disaster that needs to be resolved quickly.
Lambent is well-versed at finding the right fit for the person at the very top of big companies, including Fortune 500 / publicly traded ones. We can do what HR cannot because it’s a specialized ask in this one case. -
Instrumental to a small business’s success is a sense of cohesion, especially in these times when some employees may be working remotely so there aren’t the traditional bonding touchpoints. The right administrative support is paramount, because the person in this position often handles the bulk of company communications. He or she sets the tone. Lambent ensures that the assistant has not only the skills but the character to help all contacts feel included as a part of the larger whole. Every interaction is an opportunity to represent leadership.

Selecting members for a Family Office requires a certain sensibility because these environments represent a close mix of the professional and the personal. These places need to operate with a high level of cohesion in order to meet the varied target requirements, which can often represent balanced interests. Adding or replacing an employee requires sensitivity to how the group functions together and serves the principals.
Lambent has worked with Family Offices of all sizes across the country to fill roles such as Director, CFO, Operations Manager, Director of Marketing, Executive Assistant as well as Personal Assistant and House Managers for individual members of larger Family Offices.

Non-profits are driven by a shared sense of mission and vision. Lambent ensures that job candidates are comfortable with the overall purpose of the organization, so that their contributions are not only powerful but meaningful with respect to the whole. Because budgets are often especially limited in these spheres, we have placed more part-time and temp-to-perm employees in non-profit environments to maximize the value of the available support and ensure quality of fit prior to a direct hire.

In the earliest phase of a business, it can be difficult to identify what kind of additional staff is needed. There comes a point when it is clear that the original vital team is overwhelmed by tasks that can be delegated. Growth depends on defining and distributing roles. Lambent excels at finding individuals who excel at a range of tasks, including operations and office administration, who have the capacity to assume other responsibilities as needed. This allows small teams the flexibility to make a hire with the ability to evolve with the company. We can identify tailored generalist support.

Process
Identifying a Virtual assistant begins with a discussion around your requirements for the position and the qualities you are looking for in the person to be hired or the task at hand.
Once the requirements are in place, we begin identifying appropriate candidates for your consideration, including contacting individuals we have met with in the past who could be a strong fit as well as inviting new candidates into our office for in-depth interviews with our executive team. The best candidates are then presented to you in a dossier format (including a resume and background notes from our interview).
We will then schedule interviews for you with anyone you are interested in speaking with about the position. We will continue presenting new candidates for the duration of the search until you have identified a candidate for hire. At this final stage, we will facilitate salary negotiation, and on position acceptance, check references and perform a full background check.

Request an Assistant
Because we handle each request personally, we ask that we first have an introduction call to really understand what kind of service and level of assistance would work best for you and your situation before we pair you with one of the highly qualified assistants.
