Our Curated Search Process
1. Initial Discussion
Because we’re a boutique agency specializing in high-end support, one of our directors will be your point of contact. Our goal is to make the process seamless and convenient, ensuring your involvement is only necessary at key decision points.
We’ll start with a discussion about your needs, requirements for the position and the qualities you’re looking for in an assistant. We can do this over the phone or by zoom, but we’re also happy to meet with you at your home or office.
2. Curated Search
When we know exactly what you’re looking for, we begin profiling assistants based on skill set and personality.
All of our personal assistants are formally screened and meet our strict criteria for education and work experience. They’re graduates of top U.S. colleges and some have worked with celebrities and socialites, proving they can handle high-pressure environments.
We only work with assistants we genuinely like and trust because we believe good interpersonal fit is essential for communication and a strong client-assistant relationship.
3. Candidate Dossiers
We build complete dossiers for the three best prospective matches. The dossiers are comprehensive profiles that give you more information than a resume alone. We’ll email them to you in PDF format.
4. Your Choice
Direct Hires
For full-time placement, we schedule interviews for you with anyone you’re interested in speaking with about the position. We continue presenting new candidates until you identify someone you want to move forward with. Once you’ve chosen, we facilitate salary negotiations and, upon position acceptance, check references and perform a full background check.
Hourly Assistants
If you came to us for a part-time assistant, you have the option of choosing your favorite and having them start right away. You can also hire them for a trial session. We recommend using the trial session to focus on getting something helpful done, instead of using it as training. This will give you a better idea of what it’s like working with and communicating with your personal assistant.
If you don’t like any of the choices, we’ll present you with new candidates based on your feedback.
5. Delegate
Once you hire a personal assistant, you can start delegating and enjoying the feeling of having more hours in your day. As one of our clients said, “Sure, I’ve done these tasks my whole life. I can do them, but it enhances my life greatly when I let my assistant do them instead.”
Most of our clients find success with their first match. However, you can switch assistants at any time.
