The dog days of summer are coming to a close, and the crisp days of autumn are rolling in. In contrast with falling leaves and temperatures, the heat of the New York City art scene is rising. “Art,” you may ask. “What does fall have to do with my art collection?”
This season ushers in a bustling art scene, and we are here to help you make the best of it. Our fractional personal assistants can help you with every aspect of viewing and buying the best pieces for your taste and budget. A subset of our assistants are artists and curators. They can tailor gallery and studio visits, make recommendations about how to spend your leisure time at the most rewarding museum exhibits, and can arrange itineraries for art shopping in the city. If you buy a piece of art, they can help you transport, hang, insure and catalogue it.

THE AFFORDABLE ART FAIR
Perfect for clients who are just beginning to build their art collection, this fair shows great art under $10K in one unintimidating venue. Going allows you to further identify your tastes, and make contact with a selected set of local and international galleries. Most important, it is an excellent opportunity to buy new art.

RACHEL ROSE AT THE WHITNEY
The first US solo exhibition for this emerging New York artist, her work is video-based but painterly in nature. Visiting the Kaufman gallery also gives you the chance to check out the new Whitney if you haven’t already.

GREATER NEW YORK AT PS1
MoMA PS1’s exhibition, occurring every 5 years, showcases artists in the Metropolitan New York Area. This quinquennial departs from their traditional focus on young artists. It instead examines points of intersection between emerging and established artists, as well as the city’s changing history as a backdrop and subject.

RACHEL WHITEREAD AT LUHRING AUGUSTINE
Best known for her large-scale resin sculptures that play with negative space, this fall provides an opportunity to see her inside and outside in two venues. The first show, “Looking Out”, features a recent monolithic sculpture at the gallery’s Bushwick site. The second, “Looking In”, is composed of smaller new resin sculptures at the Chelsea gallery.
